Orchestra Mambo International has wowed audiences at leading UK venues and created a buzz with their electric debut on the Glasto Latino stage at Glastonbury Festival 2025. Their acclaimed original releases have won airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music and praise across the global Latin and jazz scenes

"The finest Latin orchestra in the UK just now" – Craig Charles (BBC6Music)

Orchestra Mambo International is the UK's powerhouse 12-piece Latin ensemble, igniting dancefloors with a vibrant blend of classic salsa, mambo, cha cha cha, and Afro-Cuban jazz. Led by renowned salsa DJ Lubi Jovanovic and acclaimed trombonist/composer Jonny Enright (Grupo X), the group draws inspiration from Latin legends like Tito Puente, Machito, Eddie Palmieri, Celia Cruz, Ray Barretto, and Willie Colón.

Initially formed in November 2022 for a one-off tribute to Tito Puente at Manchester's Blues Kitchen, the band was propelled forward by an electrifying audience response. This whirlwind start led to a string of sold-out shows across the UK, including a standout April 2024 celebration marking 60 years of Fania Records at Camden's The Forge, featuring Congolese/Argentinian singer, Juanita Euka.

Orchestra Mambo International's dynamic and diverse lineup features musicians from Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Congo/Argentina, and the UK, creating a truly international sound and spirit. Fronted by lead singer Carlos "Pachanga" Peña, the all-star ensemble showcases standout and emerging talents on horns, percussion, piano, vibes, and more, with members who have performed alongside legends such as Joe Bataan, Tito Allen, Jimmy Bosch, and Jimmy Sabater.

Orchestra Mambo International is renowned for their electrifying live shows, lighting up premier UK venues from London's The Forge and Manchester's Band On The Wall to Leeds' Howard Assembly Room. A major highlight of their journey so far was their electrifying reception on the Glasto Latino stage at Glastonbury Festival 2025, where they brought their trademark energy to one of the world's most celebrated festival audiences.

"A 12-piece ensemble of stellar musicians" – Nikki Bedi (The Arts Hour, BBC World Service)
